Papa Bii is a multi-talented individual with a diverse background. He’s a licensed Medical Technologist and holds a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship. As a Web3 advocate, he brings a unique perspective to the industry.
💼 What were you doing before Web3?
On call Medtech in our clinic and I manage our family business supplying fresh produce to restaurants, hotels supermarkets and hospitals. I also manage our retail brand Munting Palengke.
🤔 How did you get into Web3?
AXIE INFINITY! I had some spare money so I invested on stocks but due to the pandemic, I see red! Haha so I moved the funds to crypto when i heard about Axie is capable of helping other people through scholarship.
I had 76 scholars only with the thought of uplifting the lives of family and friends who lost their jobs during the pandemic.
I entered the PH NFT scene with the question of why are people giving out tokens and coins? So for fun i gave away something tangible and people can use on a daily basis instead. RICE! Came up with the campaign, “be nice, get rice”
Then I met Ray Piedra and he lighted a fire in the builder within me. He saw something in me and inspired me to build in web3
🚀 What was your first crypto or NFT project?
Cryptic Society. Didn’t know much about DYOR so I minted because I believed in their vision and I vouched for the kids. I supported them too when they got me as speaker.
🧠 How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?
I make friends by talking to potential business partners and community partners over alcohol. And we make money together.
💡 Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?
I actually enjoy learning from everyone. Content creators (house of crypto and not), project founders, community builders, community members, coin maxi(s) and even the Ates(sisters) and Kuyas(Brothers) serving us our coffees and alcohol. I get to learn from them.
🥳 What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?
Making millions then humbled by the experience of loosing almost all of it.
📈 What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?
The ones legitimately “bridging the gap” in Web2 industries. Aswang Tribe, Hello Charlie, Ark of Dreams and Ownly have a lot of surprises for Web3 this year.
There are also projects addressing world problems like pollution and inaccessibility of education.

🤝 What advice would you give someone starting out in Web3?
Invest what you can afford to lose because you’ll lose it literally and that is what will push you to learn more about this industry… or cry and quit.

Swot analysis of love and self love. How can we be objective in entering and exiting relationships?
🚨 What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted Island?
Soap and shampoo. I want to make sure that i can end and start my day clean and fresh even when stuck on a deserted island. I consider myself street wise so i believe i can maximize the resources the island has.
