Khat , or OxKhat on Twitter, is the co-founder and COO of Filipinas NFT. Besides that, she is also the Digital Marketing Head of Scarletbox.
When she’s not working in the web3 world, Khat is a proud fur mom, video gamer, and MCU fan.
💼 What were you doing before Web3?
I’m currently juggling my Web2 and Web3 life! I do freelance graphic design work and consultancy, and I am preparing for my planned study abroad later in the year!
🤔 How did you get into Web3?
I got into Web3 because I wanted to support the NFT project of my friend last January 2022! I had zero knowledge on crypto wallets and NFTs in general but I decided to take the leap and learn as I go!
🚀 What was your first crypto or NFT project?
The first NFT project that I supported was Bity Presidente!
🧠 How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?
I champion women of all walks of life in this new space! I think that is the easiest way for me to describe what we are doing at Filipinas NFT!
💡 Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?
I enjoy learning from my peers here in the PH Web3 scene actually — like Bitskwela, Web3 Philippines, Likha, etc. I make sure to tune in to the different AMAs or Twitter Spaces when I am available.
🥳 What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?
The biggest highlight for me would be my career experience here in the Web3 space, despite being here. Working with Filipinas NFT and collaborating with the different partner communities has opened doors for me to expand my current skill set by taking on a Web3 career in digital marketing!
📈 What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?
I have my eyes glued into the AI realm at the moment.
🤝 What advice would you give someone starting out in web3?
Don’t be afraid to learn something new! Web3 can be really intimidating because of how vast it is and how much-uncharted territory we have yet to discover, but it’s a great time to dip your toes in the new technology while it is growing.
🎤 If you could do a TEDtalk on any topic, what would it be?
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN THE WEB3 SPACE! Oh, and maybe why Baron Zemo is the most effective villain in the MCU thus far. Haha!
🚨 What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted island?
I would bring a pet carrier with my 3 small dogs in it. Since I’m only carrying one item, that counts right? Haha!
