Epik, or @EpikNFT helps inspire the Web3 communities by connecting and inspiring artists and also curating and collecting art all around the globe.
He is also a creator and a co-founder of an advertisement company and created ‘Meme Is Art,’ alongside legendary artists.
What were you doing before Web3?
I connect, inspire and create in web3 space as EpikNFT. Honor great talents by sharing their artworks, bringing value with our genuine network.
Connecting artists to each other and with their collectors while also curating. Inspire communities by joining some and spreading positive vibes by creating content too.
Also have been working on a recent collection called ‘Meme Is Art’ with legendary artists. I have a web2 business too as I am a co-founder of an advertisement company that is still present. I am also a communication designer myself.
How did you get into Web3?
The first time I heard about Bitcoin was when I saw people talking about it in some forums as early as 2013-2014. That is when I started researching.
What was your first crypto or NFT project?
In 2014 right after discovering Bitcoin I tried a bit of mining. I don’t remember my first NFT project but I have been a huge fan of Beeple for a long time and the news about him got me into NFTs.
How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?
I bring crypto communities together, ride the waves of changing metas and keep learning every day.
Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?
I mostly get inspired by different artists. Not only their artworks but also the way they navigate in the web3 space and some of the experimental approaches they have.
What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?
Not the biggest but as I have been working on the stronger presence of my brand EpikNFT I would say getting a like from Elon Musk on a Tweet 🙂
“Trust nothing, not even nothing.” @elonmusk

What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?
This year we have been witnessing the power and rise of the memes culture. It has been really interesting to see the ups and downs of this attention game as communities have been mostly setting new metas recently.
What advice would you give someone starting out in Web3?
Web3 can get mentally consuming as things tend to happen at a fast pace so not getting burnt out is the priority here. Take your time in exploring it and enjoy the process. Crypto is still relatively new, so making it enjoyable for yourself should be the first goal.
If you could do a TED talk on any topic, what would it be?
Memes, crypto art and social change.
What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted Island?
My hard wallet, jokes 🙂 Probably my sketchbook. I love dreaming, sketching and taking notes.
POW stands for “Proof of Work.” It is a new feature article series in The Mega Maxi to highlight the savviest builders in the Web3 space.
