Dara, aka Darababy is a Web3 Podcaster, Spaces Host, and a Collab Manager of UNFADE_WOMEN in the community.
What were you doing before Web3?
How did you get into Web3?
Oh, I was introduced to Web3 by a friend in April 2022, but I didn’t exactly pay attention to it till September 2022. By September, NFTs were all over my timeline on Twitter so I started doing research and got into it.
What was your first crypto or NFT project?
My first NFT was Budda Bears 🙂
How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?
I’m a collab manager and a Twitter Space host. Basically, as a collab manager my job is to establish connections between nft projects and communities that lead to sustainable relationships/partnerships. As a Twitter Space host, my job is to host Twitter spaces where people can have an opportunity to interact with team members of nft projects and ask questions on areas they don’t understand.
Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?
Among all the amazing people I’ve met in the space so far, the one person I enjoy learning from is @Trappwurld. He’s very knowledgeable and goal driven.
What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?
I can’t say yet, because I’m currently working on something 🙂
What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?
Bitcoin and Ordinals NFTs, the BRC-20 trend. It’s still relatively new but there’s definitely something to look out for there.
What advice would you give someone starting out in Web3?
Be really careful. The web3 space is amazing but can be very risky too. Always do your own research and try to have at least basic knowledge on the different areas in the space( NFTs, DeFi and whatnot).
As a newbie, you shouldn’t be quick to throw your money into the space, thinking you can double it. Yes, the web3 space has made so many people go from zero to a hundred in a short time but it is not a get rich quick scheme!
If you could do a TED talk on any topic, what would it be?
The Beauty of Sleep.
What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted Island?
If I was stuck on a deserted island, I’d carry a book.
POW stands for “Proof of Work.” It is a new feature article series in The Mega Maxi to highlight the savviest builders in the Web3 space.
