What were you doing before Web3?

The majority of my time before Web3 was heavily based around being an athlete. However I am now a full time PT/Online Coach.

How did you get into Web3?

Long story short, I had invested in BTC back in 2015 – so I was familiar with crypto and slowly ventured in ETH. Once I spent more time in the ETH space it became apparent that NFTs had some serious opportunities to be explored.

What was your first crypto or NFT project?

My first ever project I minted was Gevols by the legend himself @_KidEight, to this day there isn’t anything that comes close to the art that Kid has created. Happy to hold this one for an eternity.

How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?

Without over complicating it, I invest in digital assets using different crypto currencies.

Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?

There are honestly so many options to pick from, but for me it has to be Kais, the Okay Bears founder on Solana. The narrative and vision he has is fascinating to watch and be a part of.

What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?

Biggest highlight in my web 3 career is buying an Okay Bear for $400 and selling it for $16,000 11 days later.

What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?

The current state of the market has been tough, but watching the “multi-chain” trend come to life in the NFT ecosystem has been interesting to say the least. I will continue to follow this closely and excited to see how this develops over time.

What advice would you give someone starting out in Web3?

DYOR! – its very easy to get caught up with FOMO, build a good base or community around you, spend time learning and researching WHY you should invest in certain projects. TAKE PROFITS!

If you could do a TEDtalk on any topic, what would it be?

Mental health – something I learnt and spoke about during my swimming career and is something that is equally apparent and important within the world of investing, especially in something as volatile as Crypto and NFTs.

What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted Island?

One thing is simply not enough, but if I had to choose, it would be a knife.

POW stands for “Proof of Work.” It is a new feature article series in The Mega Maxi to highlight the savviest builders in the Web3 space.
