What were you doing before Web3?

Before venturing into the world of Web3, I was already helping clients in the Web2 space through my digital marketing agency, MK Social Hub.

Over the last two years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with over 60 international brands and businesses to develop effective marketing strategies. And to build their online presence, and increase their revenue through digital channels.

My team and I managed social media accounts. We execute email marketing campaigns, ran online advertising, designed websites, and provided other digital marketing services to each client based on their specific needs.

When I moved into Web3, I brought with me a wealth of experience and insights that continue to shape my approach to assisting businesses in succeeding in this new space.

How did you get into Web3?

I owe my entry into Web3 to my partner. He introduced me to the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain. He patiently taught me how to identify profitable projects through Telegram and connect with other like-minded individuals in the space.

Through our exploration, we had the opportunity to connect with a group of knowledgeable and experienced crypto whales. They helped us deepen our understanding of the Web3 ecosystem and grow our portfolio.

I found the concept of decentralization and the potential for the democratization of finance and other industries to be incredibly inspiring, and soon I found myself immersing myself in this space.

What was your first crypto or NFT project?

While I can’t recall my very first crypto, I vividly remember the one that had a significant impact on me – CryptoBlades.

It was through this project that I discovered the world of play-to-earn (P2E) gaming, where players can earn cryptocurrency by participating in games.

This was a game-changer for me. I was impressed by the potential of Web3 and blockchain technology to create new opportunities for players, as well as to revolutionize traditional industries such as gaming.

How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?

I help businesses grow by helping them connect with their customers and make more money through social media.

Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?

One of the creators and thought leaders who has been like a mother figure to me in the Web3 space is Ms. Marlene Murphy. She is a Global Union Ambassador as well as the Founder and CEO of The Artepreneurs.

I have had the privilege of working closely with her, and she has been an invaluable mentor to me. She taught me not only about entrepreneurship but also about youth leadership.

Her wealth of knowledge and experience in these areas has been a great source of inspiration and guidance for me. Ms. Marlene is not only an expert in her field but also a generous teacher who takes the time to share her insights with those who seek to learn from her. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with her and for the many valuable lessons she has taught me.

What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?

The biggest highlight of my career so far was being given the opportunity to speak and share my knowledge about my experience in the past three years of freelancing.

This was made possible through AltSwitch, one of my Web3 companies, which has been instrumental in molding me into the professional that I am today. Being able to speak at events and share my knowledge with others has been a truly rewarding experience, and it has helped me to grow both personally and professionally.

What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?

I am keeping a close eye on the trend of enterprises widely accepting crypto payments. With the growing popularity and mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies, more and more companies are starting to recognize the potential of this technology.

They are looking for ways to integrate it into their businesses. As a digital marketer in the Web3 space, I believe that this trend has the potential to revolutionize the way we do business.

And it will be fascinating to see how this develops over the course of the year. I am excited to see how companies will leverage crypto payments to improve their operations. And how this will impact the wider industry as a whole.

What advice would you give someone starting out in Web3?

There are many opportunities to be found in Web3, but there are also many risks. Especially for those who are not familiar with the technology and the various protocols that underpin it.

When it comes to investing, start small by only spending what you can afford to lose. Spend as much time as you can learning about the technologies, communities, and projects that interest you.

It’s crucial to conduct your own research and get guidance from reliable sources. Most importantly, don’t be scared to consult more knowledgeable community members for advice. Because the Web3 market is developing quickly, there is always something new to learn. As a result, you should be ready to maintain your curiosity as well as to grow and adapt over time.

If you could do a TEDtalk on any topic, what would it be?

Social media has transformed the way we communicate and interact with each other. But it has also given rise to the spread of misinformation, cyberbullying, and addiction to social media platforms.

I would argue that one of the most important things we can do as individuals and as a society is to approach social media with a more mindful and human-centered approach. This means being authentic and true to ourselves, fostering real connections with others.

And using social media as a tool for positive change and growth that will help to create a more compassionate and connected world.

What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted Island?

My partner.
