What were you doing before Web3?

I’m a licensed chemical engineer and my first job was a patent agent for an IP law firm.

How did you get into Web3?

I only lasted 3 months at my first job because I wanted to do something else.

I wanted to try business and other income opportunities like freelancing, investing, and trading. Therefore, I took a freelancing copywriting career path and started my own business, which was related to my first job.

This was also the time when I discovered crypto. Eventually, I started creating content around Web3 and built a community (Crypto Pinas) around it.

What was your first crypto or NFT project?

My first crypto was Bitcoin. My first NFT project was Axie Infinity. It is so fascinating for me the player economy of NFT games that time. That fascination lead me to deep dive even more to the concept of Web3.

How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?

An internet where you’re rewarded for using it.

Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?

Max Maher, Graham Stephan, the guys from Bankless, and Whiteboard Crypto.

What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?

Being able to build a social media presence and a community around a very complex industry.

What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?

AI and Web3 and how these two technologies will merge.

What advice would you give someone starting out in Web3?

You need to join communities. The best way to learn is to engage with like-minded individuals.

If you could do a TEDtalk on any topic, what would it be?

Web3 careers. We have lots of talent in the PH but only a few knows how to transition in this industry.

What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted Island?

A survival guide haha.

POW stands for “Proof of Work.” It is a new feature article series in The Mega Maxi to highlight the savviest builders in the Web3 space.
