POW with Jovan

Jovan is the co-founder of PlayCash Finance. He is a finance expert who specializes in driving digital and FinTech transformations.

What were you doing before Web3?

I used to make digital and FinTech transformations happen in the finance industry. Prior to that, I worked with startups in the field of e-commerce, and telco.

How did you get into Web3?

I got into crypto in 2016. I fixated on the potentials of decentralization and money movement. Also, I long for the day where everyone has full access to their finances anytime anywhere.

Imagine when your money truly becomes universal, you will be able to spend abroad using whatever type of account, payment channel, and currency you have without having to go through additional preparations to your travel (e.g. visiting the money exchange, opening a new financial account)

I also joined BreederDAO pre-TLA as head of growth.

What was your first crypto or NFT project?

During my spare time, I was a P2P merchant in Binance. One day, my transaction with another merchant got stuck in limbo for several days — he eventually became my co-founder in PlayCash.

How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?

One of the main concerns for every crypto user is cashing-in or cashing-out their PHP to and from crypto. It mostly involves a lot of switching, swapping, and waiting across different wallets, merchants, and exchanges.

PlayCash provides users a very easy and convenient way to send or receive crypto or php to any wallet, e-wallet, or bank accounts. Users can complete their transaction in a few clicks of a button and receive their money all under a minute.

Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?

Everyone in this space is continuously learning from each other. I particularly like sharing stories and bouncing off ideas with like-minded people from all sorts of industries.

What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?

Being able to grow the PlayCash team to 22 members and launched the easiest and fastest cash-in to crypto & cash-out to PHP service in less than 7 months starting from scratch.

What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?

Digital payments as our social norm, with crypto forming a significant part of it.

What advice would you give someone starting out in Web3?

Just enjoy the ride!

Likely about how innovation involves adapting and combining existing ideas across different industries and categories.

Innovation is not solely the domain of geniuses, anyone can achieve such by their willingness to explore and experiment with ideas.

What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted Island?

My phone, I literally do everything with it!
