RayPiedra, also known as Craytive, is the content producer and art director of Metadonuts.

What were you doing before Web3?

I’m a content producer/art director/product photographer and I lost my job 2x due to the pandemic.

As of now, I am an NFT artist/builder that has long plans of making an NFT school while helping struggling artists and marginalized sectors of the Philippines via Web3.

How did you get into Web3?

My wife pushed me to check Web3. I actually suffered a stroke while finishing an NFT project 6 months ago but the community rallied to help and keep me alive.

What was your first crypto or NFT project?

G Girl Series was my first project, and Gratitude Gang was first major pfp.

How would you explain what you do to someone outside of Web3?

Selling artworks online via crypto payment /+ royalties.

Which creator or thought leader do you enjoy learning from?

If not the first the only NFT artist in the PH that got a nod by Gary Vee and even had a chance to have a few mentorship sessions with him. I always look to Blockchain Wisperer for Web3 and if he didn’t vouch for it then I’m not touching.

What is the biggest highlight of your career so far?

As an artist, avoid pfp projects, first focus on 1/1 for less drama. For collectors, consider your NFT purchase as dead money and also buy an NFT art that you really do appreciate. 

For builders, T-shirts/ merch are not utilities. They are called perks, just keep improving your tech.

What tech or crypto trend are you watching this year?

Solana and Tezos.

What advice would you give someone starting out in Web3?

Know your path and collect, flip or build and also find or build a community that you can resonate with.

How to save up or manage financial resources as an artist.

What is the one thing you would bring if you were stuck on a deserted Island?

Swiss knife so I can definitely survive with that just aside from Trimetazidine.
