LG to Support Buying and Selling of NFTs From TV
An NFT platform has been released this week called LG Art Lab, produced by LG Electronics. Buying, searching, selling, and trading NFTs can now be done freely by the users of LG smart TVs. LG’s NFT platform is going to be on the Hedera Network, and with this collaboration they will be able to develop different NFT applications.
A separate selection of artworks from different artists will be initially offered by the Art Lab platform. LG sets an expectation that the platform of Art Lab must grow into a large community of collectors and creators. In terms of purchasing, a QR code can be scanned that will appear on the LG TV screens, then proceed to the Wallypto app on their gadgets to finally complete the transaction.
The LG Art Lab focuses on trading NFTs that can be used for buying and selling artwork. This project also explored what the full potential of blockchain technology could do in the art world. As the LG Art Lab works with different artists as well as different galleries, they’ll create and produce NFTs that can be bought and sold from a television.
Currently only available in the US, the platform can be accessed directly from the TV’s home screen, helping users to buy, sell and enjoy NFT artwork in high-quality.
