YGG Alerts, DLSU, and PDAX to Hold DigitX in Metaverse ‘Virtual Campus’

Yield Guild Games Alerts (YGG Alerts) in partnership with De La Salle University (DLSU) and co-presenter Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX), will kickoff the De La Salle Interactive Entertainment and Gaming Innovation & Talent Expo (DigitX) on the Decentraland metaverse this September 24 to October 2.

DigitX is a talent and innovation showcase, featuring webinars, exhibits, and guided tours which will take place in a completely virtual environment. Using the Decentraland platform, participants can create their own personal avatars and engage with other attendees in exploring a 3-D virtual rendition of the DLSU campus. Student works from DLSU’s first graduating batch of BS Interactive Entertainment, Major in Game Design will also be exhibited within the Archer’s Building in the virtual campus. For visitors to make the most out of their campus visit and field trip, PDAX has created a special promo for $MANA, Decentraland’s currency and an NFT shirt for visitors’ DCL avatar.

The event will also feature a 3-day series of talks from some of the most notable names in the crypto industry in the country, covering a range of topics from the emerging applications of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the implications of cryptocurrencies and Web3 technology on the future of the Philippine digital landscape.

Participants can access the event through any device. Webinars will be held via Zoom, while the virtual campus can be explored via Desktop by downloading the Decentraland application or through its web browser equivalent.

Speaker talks will run from September 26-28 while the virtual campus will be accessible 24-hours from September 26 to October 2, 2022.
