Chalk Art Event In Baguio Features Aswang Tribe NFTs

Every Sunday, artists of all ages show off their chalk art skills on a section of Session Road in Baguio. People from all over the place come to the area to take pictures and watch the talented artists work.

This fun chalk art showoff began in 2019 when a group of local artists gathered together during the chalk art brigade during the pedestrianization of Session Road. They wanted to brighten up the city with their creativity, hence the Chalk Art In Baguio.

The place has managed to get the attention of locals and even tourists, making it a hotspot for creativity and now NFTs.

ASWANG SA BAGUIO

Aswang, the founder of Aswang Tribe, sought a partnership with Guhit Talong in organizing a chalk art exhibit last January 23 on Session Road in Baguio.

The event featured different artists, both from Web2 and Web3. Although the chalk artworks only lasted a day, it is evident that these artists did a good job of translating Aswang’s art into a completely different medium.

ABOUT GUHIT TALONG

To give a background behind the event’s success, Guhit Talong is a community of student chalk artists who use art for several causes.

The group is known for its several hand-drawn artworks displayed at Baguio’s busiest street, Session Road.

Through chalk artworks, they could express just about anything, from Filipino pop culture to music, and even address several societal issues.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?

Events like these are one of the proofs that NFTs can extend beyond just JPEGs. Aswang Sa Baguio proves that NFTs can indeed give us extraordinary experiences and a sense of belonging.

With initiatives like this, we are able to highlight small artists and bring together people with different backgrounds under one common interest: Aswang Tribe NFTs.

Still can't move on from this hyper talented gROUPPPPP much much love Guhit Talong

CONCLUSION

Aswang Tribe is one of the top Filipino NFT projects on the market right now. Seeing how the project is slowly rolling out its vision with events like this is so fulfilling.

We are looking forward to seeing more Filipino projects thrive in the space.
