Samsung Revealed As Most Active Investor In The Blockchain Since September 2021

Samsung, the South Korean tech giant, has now been identified as the most active investor in some blockchain related companies, with 13 funding rounds between the month of September last year and up to June this year.

According to a blog that was published by Blockdata, it was revealed that the tech company had participated in funding rounds for 13 big companies, including the climate tech venture Flowcarbon, Yuga Labs, the issuer of Bored Apes Yacht Club, and some blockchain games such as Axie Infinity, owned by Sky Mavis and Animoca Brands.

The company is more likely to invest in Samsung Next, a multifaceted group within Samsung Electronics that invests in AI, blockchain, and the Metaverse.

There is no such detail on how much the tech corporation invested, but there was a note that shows the total size of funding rounds for these 13 companies, which is $979.26 million.

Blockdata also included that Alphabet joined in the funding rounds for companies like Dapper Labs, Voltage, and Fireblocks that ended up raising at least $1.5 billion.
