AI technology is rapidly becoming a necessity in the business industry because of its capability to help businesses thrive proactively.
However, most businesses in the Philippines are not yet integrating AI into their operations due to the lack of proper knowledge.
Therefore, GMA Network will co-host an AI seminar intended for business leaders to combat the ongoing dilemma.
So if you’re an entrepreneur seeking to use AI for business purposes, then this workshop is for you.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
GMA Network partners with John Clements Consultants (JCC) and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management to hold a one-day seminar-workshop on “Artificial Intelligence for Business Leaders: Driving Growth, Innovation, and Efficiency.”
This collaborative event will be held on July 17, 2023, at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
Although there’s no final schedule for the time yet, it has been assured that Professor Mohanbir Sawhney will be the one leading the workshop.
And by taking note of Professor Mohanbir Sawhney’s credentials, this conference serves as a valuable opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn more about AI technology.
“We are thrilled to have Prof. Sawhney, whom I have known as a thought leader in Strategy, Marketing, Technology and Innovation in this seminar-workshop on AI,” said GMA Network First Vice President and Head of International Operations Joseph T. Francia. “As a media company, we recognize the importance of AI in transforming the media landscape. We are committed to learning more about it and leveraging it to provide our viewers with the best possible content and experience.” said Carol Dominguez, President and CEO of John Clements.
WHAT CAN WE BENEFIT FROM THE WORKSHOP?
Coming from a deep background in digital innovation and AI technology, Professor Mohanbir Sawhney will discuss thoroughly about Business-AI integration.
Through this event, Sawhney plans to share his insights to equip business leaders with proper knowledge of AI utilization.
“AI creates new opportunities for the people with the right skills and the talents because there’ll be lots of new jobs that will emerge out of this. On the other hand, the challenge for these economies is to upskill people and to make them work collaboratively with AI tools,” said Prof. Sawhney.
He believes that by doing this, they can maximize the opportunities of AI to create more business value across the enterprise chain, including:
- Marketing
- Operations
- Human resources
- Supply chain management
Aside from his learnings and ideas, people will also get to meet other key players in the industry with the help of GMA’s network of people.
So make sure to have your notes and especially your social skills ready since you’ll be talking with a lot of entrepreneurs at the event.
WHY HAVE THE SEMINAR?
As I’ve said earlier, most business establishments are currently not yet up-to-date regarding AI technological advancements.
This is because not all CEOs know how to leverage them for the benefit of their businesses.
And as this dilemma continues, our local businesses are lagging behind compared to global organizations because the latter integrates AI in working operations, which helps them achieve efficiency, proactiveness, and more profits in the workplace.
In fact, Sawhney acknowledged that human understanding of AI has not progressed as quickly and that people should also consider the responsibilities of using AI when they’ll get to know and use it eventually.
“To make sure that AI is used in a responsible and productive manner, it is a shared responsibility. This responsibility falls on several entities. First, it lies with the creators of the technology, the big tech companies. These companies are already implementing responsible AI policies. The second responsibility lies with the major employers who must establish responsible AI policies. Lastly, the government has a crucial role in setting up guardrails that strike a balance between allowing innovation to flourish and implementing necessary regulations. These three sets of entities need to work together to ensure that we don’t create unintended consequences. As consumers, we also have a responsibility to make wise choices and not engage in reckless behavior,” said Prof. Sawhney.
CONCLUSION
GMA Network’s move as a co-presenter for this event emphasizes their support towards AI technology as the future for businesses.
Not only that, but this event also signifies their commitment to helping business leaders ride along the digital curve for the betterment of the country’s economy.
Both of which are positive for the country’s business industry. So, what do you think about this update?
